:)Hi Everyone I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 6 years after I had a back operation (for a ruptured disc and the syatica nerve was badly damaged due to the disc's fluid pressuring on it.). I take sinmet, admantadine plus pain killers for my leg which is an on going problem. My injury to my back at the time was missed diagnosed ( Xrays missed read). After 2 years of having treatment for muscular injury asked to see Specialist he picked up striaght away the raptured disc on xrays that had been missed read. I am married with wonderful husband three grown up chilldren and almost 5 grandchildren.

Welcome to Neurotalk, Lilus.
Love that name (what's the derivation)?
As many here know, New Zealand is at the top of my list of places to visit when I get rich and famous. (I may one day have to e-mail you for sight-seeing itineraries.) I see Darleen's already sent you the link for the Parkinson's forum, but feel free to peruse any of the others. |
