I'm new

I'm not really sure how this works, but uh... my name is Mary and I have been diagnosed as bipolar for a couple of years (no specifications beyond that, although some psychologists suggest schizoaffective). I typically respond terribly to most psychiatric medications so I'm always on a mission to find something that doesn't make me have seizures or just feel awful. I haven't been doing much anything productive towards therapy and psychological healing and I thought a good first step would be to find some other people to talk to, so hi :)

dear Mary,
there is a book they may help you, my mother had hypoglycemia and she
was bipolar - however I loved her - the older she became the better she was
because it was truly her diet!

there is a book : "Healing depression and bipolar without drugs
written by gracelyn guyol

features Gracelyn Guyol’s own story and those of thirteen other people around the country who have cured their depression and bipolar disorder using only natural therapies. In-depth research and the expertise of alternative health-care professionals are included in this landmark guide for patients and caregivers seeking responsible, safe alternatives to psychiatric drug

I have been seeing an acupuncturist for about a year now and he strongly stresses eating the proper way. Particularly he is a fan of the 'Chang Ming' Taoist diet, which is very difficult for someone with as little discipline as myself but would have phenomenal results if I could stay on it. I'm slowly working on evolving my diet of pasta and sweets to a mostly vegan diet with healthy fish for some natural omega 3's. I'll be looking into the book you've suggested, for sure.
