Feeling good

Hi everyone,

I can honestly say that I am feeling good! I have had neuropathy for 8 years now and for most of them there was always pain. Of course there was a time when just stepping caused great pain and typing was very hard to do. I resisted my doctors advice for many years and finally gave in this summer with the hopes to stop the pain. I started taking Cymbalta. This is the forst time I ever tool an antidepressant and I swore I was not depressed. I began in JUly and by mid auguat I had gotten to 60 mg a day. That is where I stay. I take it at bedtime and it helps me sleep. Now I am beginning to cut back on the neurontin (I take 2800 mg/day) Anyway, I feel great! I have energy and I am sleeping.

HI! Wow that is great news! My dr. wants me to try taking Cymbalta again. I tried once and couldn't take it because of my Barrett's Esophagus and Interstatial Cystitis....but now he wants me try taking it with Carafate......as a coating. So might give it a try that way....see what happens.

I was on Cymbalta for 5 months and went off it about 2 months ago I think.Nothing bad nothing good with it. Really felt the same no pain difference and no depression difference. The first few weeks on it though I was so nauseas. Then it went away. It has been my most tolerable drug comapred to like Lyrica. It is worth a try though Roxie if your doc wants to cause I know you felt Lyrica was not the greatest or maybe I am wrong.
