Cervical osteo-arthritis

Hi all. Found this site while researching some symptoms and thought that it is probably a better way to find what I am looking for.
I have been having cortisone injections to me neck at C5/6 and C6/7, both sides, with great success. It is like day and night.
The last one was on October 30, and lasted 2 months before I noticed the symptoms returning. I'll leave it as long as I can before getting it done again, but I think it will be next month.
My main symptoms are lower neck pain that spreads to both shoulders, very sore occipital area lower left, fuzzy brain and mood changes. Analgesics help but often it takes a day or 2 to stop the severe occurrences. I take Tramadol, Brufen, and panadeine with muscle relaxant.
The pain I am used to, but what i would like to ask those with a similar condition is this: apart from the pain, have they noticed any other symptoms such as inability to think, mood swings and generally feeling odd in the head? Can't explain it. If you have it, you will know what I mean!

Welcome Peter. I had some disc trouble a few yrs ago, and had steroid injections to my L4-L5 region. The first epidural helped for around 3 months and the 2nd time, I saw no relief.

I won't do it again, but some DO have better luck.

Glad to have you with us...

Thanks Alffe and daisymay. One thing I can't do is spend a lot of time trawling through such a big forum as this, so the link is much appreciated.
