Hello

Hello all,

I haven't been online much and it looks like the board has been quiet. My mom has been sick this fall and passed away right after Christmas. I truly know that she is at peace but I miss her terribly. :(

I just wanted to check in and say hi and hope that all is well with you all.

My best wishes for a happy, peaceful 2008.

Take care,
Tessa

Oh Tessa, so sad to hear of your mom:( but thankful she is at peace.
The ache of losing a loved one is like no other so I pray you will soon have the gentleness of the warm memories to ease your pain.

yes, things have been quiet here which I hope means all are doing well. I was so pleased to see Lara's articles the other day as I know she has been walkabout and has been missed.

hope things are going well for your son, Tessa :)

Dear Tessa,
I'm so very sorry to read that you have lost your Mom. My thoughts are with you. (((Tessa)))

It has been pretty quiet around here by the look of things. I think it's quiet everywhere though from what I've seen. I just hope that means that there is better information around these days to aid with diagnosis and with support.

I'm sorry that I'm not around too much any more. Apart from being away, it's also summer holidays here still of course, and we're also busy going through the tertiary admissions process here getting ready for 2008.

take care Chemar and Tessa. Love to you and your families.

Hi Cheri and Lara,

Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate them.

My family is well. My older son loves college and had an excellant first semester!!! He was in 2 Greek courses of which he was the only freshman and pulled a top grade in both. He is 2 weeks back now and says that this semester is very hard and they are piling on the work early.

My younger guy just finished up the first half year of high school. This week was midterm exams so we wait to see how he did. He is a good student but needs to work at things, unlike his brother who seemed to remember every detail read or spoken to him. Somehow, I'm not sure which is better. There isn't anything wrong with learning to work hard!!

I loved having my older son home for Christmas break!!! He was always out with friends (oh, I remember the days when it seemed he'd never have a group of friends) but just to sit in the same room with him was just so nice :). I do think that being away makes him appreciate home more. he gave me a kiss on th cheek and said "It's nice to be home" :winky:....melted my heart. :circlelove:

I forget, Lara, that you are in summer :D. It has been definitely winter here with snow but the days are getting longer and we have football to occupy our minds ;). Next week, of course, the Patriots play in the Superbowl so it's a good week here. :D:D

I haven't taken much time to read the info posted above. Honestly, I still feel a bit beat after my mom's death but it looks like there is some good stuff there so thanks, Lara.

I hope that your families are well, also. They seem to grow up in leaps and bounds. I found out a few weeks back that a niece and a nephew are both expecting this year. So nice to have babies around:Heart:

Take care,
Tessa

So glad to hear your oldest is doing well at college Tessa...first year can be stressful! Hard for me to believe my oldest is now in the final semester of his final year! I had him home for a month over the Holidays which was such a blessing:p

My TS son is also doing real well and coping with the many adjustments he has had to make to live with Crohn's Disease. Thankfully he had gotten into the habit of careful diet, supps etc for the TS/OCD and so the progression to extra care re Crohn's has been easier

Yay for upcoming baby relatives! that will be a real blessing to you, especially now as you are still in that very painful place of grief over your mom:hug:

Cheri,

Wow....your older son graduating this year-how can that be:eek:?? Time does fly.

We just got word that my son made the dean's list :D. We are expolring options for summer employment and/or internships. Summer....now that is a nice thought ;). It will be frigid here tonight.

Take care,
Tessa
