Hello to all the newbies.

Usually, we like to give new posters a hello in their individual threads--and we'll probably still get to that--but the influx of the last few days has left us a little behind . . . :p

Just a few notes:

We're a pretty loose bunch about posting--but if there are any questions about anything being appropriate, just send a private messge to one of the moderators first (they're pretty easy to find).

Part of the reason this is such a big place, as many of you have noted, is that we're trying not only to cover the gamut of neurological issues, but also give people places to post about non-neurological ones, from the medical, to the psychological, to the social. If you haven't yet, take a look at our forum list:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/

--and feel free to poke around in the various areas.

Many of the forums are organized with "stickies"--at the top of the forum are threads seperated from the rest that contain useful information, papers, etc. about that particular condition--very useful for getting "up to speed" about the current scientific knowledge regarding that area.

We have some of the leading lay experts in the world here (I'm not exaggerating) in a number of areas, and they give very freely of their time in responding to questions/requests. If you post a question and don't get a whole mess of responses immediately, please be patient--and perhaps in a busy forum, "bump up" the post every so often--people will get back to you (but they might be answering others first).

Be respectful, have fun, and share knowledge--that's what this place was set up for.

I love all the different forums here, and was thinking that so many with MS also have other issues, and this site fills those needs as well. It's a one shop stop :D

I've noticed that there are doctors here, and that makes this an even better place. Very Cool!
