Unfinished Business
:):mfr_wha:
I got gutsy and requested that the mods or administrators at the 'other place' allow us to finish up some projects there. Since the cafe closed abruptly many were left hanging and some have not found their way to this great site. i don't know if they'll post my message or not:confused: In particular there is the Postcard event. I'm getting postcards with no return address. In some cases I do have the address in my MS address book, but not in all. It's usually my fault. I received a number of addresses and I forgot to write our user name on them! Duh.... I'll blame it on cog fog but it's really just Duh! I think it is particularly hard to let go of some of our fun things. So I hope we can continue or find new ways to do things. Tootsie |

I hadn't been on the site that much over the last few months, too much going on with the holidays, health etc so I didn't go through all the posts but I'm feeling like I missed something juicy. |

The postcards are fun and kind of what I'd call 'affirming'. It's nice to get one that is a State card or about the place our buddies live. It's just nice to feel connected.:) Tootsie |
Tootsie,
FYI, I think everyone has been posting "post card receipts, etc." under Sandy's thread, "I got a package." |
Hey, all, this is NeuroTalk and a whole new community! If you want something new, give it a try, but please, let's leave the old behind us!:)

:) Hi there
we know some are feeling the upset of things at your previous home forum, but just hoping that we can maybe focus on HERE now, and all the good stuff we have to offer you That will also make it easier on our oldtime members who dont have any idea what has happened here :D best maybe keep these discussion to PMs again, we sure understand that some need to vent, and so are not saying not to discuss some things, but maybe just to limit them:o thanks so much Cheri |
Yes, those who are wanting to do the postcard thing please come to my package thread and hook up. Or maybe start a new thread about the postcards?
Also, if you want to see your posts from the cafe do a search of key words. They are in the archives. I agree that we should keep the old in the past and get on with the new too. It's like grieving, we have to let go. :-) |
:sorry: Wasn't trying to stir things up. I seriously didn't know why some were upset and trying to make it light hearted with my juicy comment.

This kind of reminds me of when I used to supervise new lab techs and they would talk a lot about their old job or whatever. I have been guilty of that myself. I would need to tell new employees that they are at the new job now and what happened at the old job stays there. And visa versa. It's hard to let go, I know, but we have to for our sakes and those who were here long before us. I think Pm's would work best at this point. ;) I guess I just don't want us to get a bad rep. I like the new slate. :o |
