Hi

Hello everyone.
I found this site yesterday and am so glad I did.
Tomorrow I will be having ACDF (think thats what its called) and having alot of anxiety about it.
At this point I am willing to about anything to alleviate this pain.
If there is anyone out there that can calm my nerves about this surgery it would be greatly appreciated.
AJ

Hi, Dibble! :Wave-Hello: Welcome to NeuroTalk!

What kind of condition are we talking about? I'd like to help you find a forum where the folks understand your situation. :)

Hi and Welcome to NT. I don't know what the ACDF stands for; can you elaborate?

I'm glad you are here tho, as NT has many great forums and a bunch of wonderful folks here. :welcome_sign:

Acdf

--stands for Anterior Cervical Disectomy and Fusion. (Also Aggregated Coastal Diffusion Fisheries, but I don't think that's a neurological condition. :p)

Good to have you at Neurotalk; have you taken a look at our collection of info and expertise at the Spinal Disorders forum yet?

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for the welcome.
My problem is 2 herniated cervical discs and severe spinal stenosis in c5/6 and 6/7. I had surgery Thursday and its amazing that the pain in my arm is already gone.
Again, thanks for the welcome and pointing me in the right direction on the forum.
AJ
