HI
Hi, I am a mother of two very active boys both with ADHD. My youngest son is 5 years old and was recently told he has a seizure disorder. He is going in for a EEG this morning. I have no idea what to expect. His EEG was supposed to be sleep deprived but I could not keep him awake. He is on Keppra but I can't tell that it is working. My other son is 8 and has torettes sydrome( i don't think I spelled that right), he also has OCD,low IQ and is in special classes at school. I dont know much about what i am dealing with right now. trying to surf the web and come up with some answers but not getting far. I just hope we can find out what is triggering the seizures and treat them. Well that is all I can think of now.

Hi there. My name is Melody.
When my son was younger he was also diagnosed with ADHD, and he had an eeg when he was 4. He would not drink the cherry drink they wanted to give him so he would calm down and not move during the whole experience. He said "I can stay still". And you know what, he most certainly did. He just laid there and let them attach all the little electrode thingees to his head. It was no big deal. Everything was negative. My son was later diagnosed with OCD, Aspergers, etc. So I've been there. Any time you want to talk, please feel free to pm me. Take care, Melody |
