Something odd happen when I was sleeping

I had fallen asleep when I was awaken suddenly, I felt like I had something around my chest that was getting tighter and tighter, by the time I was fully awake I didn't feel it any more.
Surly I wasn't just dreaming. I opened my eyes and still felt it. It wasn't until I moved and set up that I didn't feel it anymore.

I've had some similar experiences; wake up with a numb lip....just more neurological weirdness....

I've 'dreamed' that my head was jerking back and forth - when I woke up, it stopped, but my neck was really sore.

Heh... Yeah, and I dreamed I was eating a giant marshmallow and when I woke up my pillow was gone!

I have alot of trouble when I lay down. I stay up as long as I can, but rest is so important. When I get into a LAYING position, my ribs hurt, my back hurts, my neck hurts, I get weird things that go on. I feel like some one is PUSHING on my chest. not squeezing, not crushing, I just feel like someone is pushing me. after lengthy discussion and investigation it was decided this is the "ms hug" I was told that it must be a spinal lesion that when I get into a laying position must put just the right pressure on it. It doesn happen when i sit, or ride in a car, or recline. just a full laying position. :Trapeze 2:

Try looking up "sleep paralysis" and see if that fits what you experienced?

It's apparently pretty common among the general population, but of course could have been part of all the other stuff you are having too.

No it wasn't like that, I felt my chest being squeezed tight and could feel it getting tighter.
