Thanks for posting this Sandel. It is really interesting, I get really bad headaches/migraines, I think they are caused by pain and possibly medications.
Thanks again - you are great
Take care

Would the surface be on the top or the base of the head? I can't figure out where they are pinpointing the area...

Thanks,
Heather

Heres some more reading for ya Heather, from what I understand it is a headache that always occurs in one smallish circular area of your head and can be located anywhere on the head..

I had been wondering at the pain I get in one spot above my ear right where the head rounds towards the top, it however often feels like a lightning strike or stab for mabie a minit or two.. it however is so severe it can almost drop me.. then gone and I am left with a sensitive spot and a dull ache.

Docs ar ER after CT scans etc.. said cluster headaches.. but the headache I got that day was more reminicent of a cluster headache (symptoms etc) and at that time I think that was what I had happening. But it didn't answer the quick stabbing pain I get sometimes on and off for weeks, but this may.. though its not quite right either.

I used to get migranes mabie 4 or 5 times a year before RSD those have stopped and now I get a low grade ongoing headache alot.. then the stab ones came that scairt the crap outa me.. then came the droopy eye headache, man I thought the lightnin stab headaches scait me, the droopy eye one was a ambliance rice and serious tests.

Nummular headaches are similar to the lightning or stab headaches except for the initial extreme drop to the floor grab the spot pain that stabs my brain severly for a few moments.. I havent read enouph mabie it's a symptom.. I don't know.. I am just glad the CT scan came out alright.. I thought it was a tumor to do that. I do notice that in one of those studys they talk of a few patients with multiple types of headaches so I am going to not somuch wory anymore

Thanks Sandel...

I just started to get RSD migraines after the birth of the baby when my pain started to return (about 3 weeks ago)...the Topamax has really helped with that. But now, I have a constant dull ache in the center at the top of my head that seems to make me dizzy...It could me my imagination or medication side-effect, I don't know???

Thanks,
Heather
