Darlene 01-26-2008 01:44 AM

Mccj,

Hello and welcome to NeuroTalk. Great to see you have come to be with us. You will find a great number of caring, supporting members here willing to help each other as they can.

You might try in the classify items link for a machine. If you don't mind me asking do you or a family member have sleep apnea?

Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around.

A bi-pap machine is a device which forces air into a person while they sleep, so that they get sufficient oxygen to eliminate sleep apnea. thanks mccg(helps with bad snoring)

Now I will really make you laugh at me. How stupid I am.

I have one sitting in my closet. I did the whole sleep apnea test thing years ago. I went twice. They put the electrodes on my head, I looked like a creature from the black lagoon.

They told me I had sleep apnea and I was given this machine. I was given a mask that also made me look like the creature from the black lagoon. It was actually two machines, one was a humidifier. It had to be programmed. I changed masks two times.

I couldn't use this thing again if I tried. So what do I do every night?? I use Breathe Right Strips. Best thing I ever did. My nose is wide open. I breathe just fine and I sleep through the night.

God bless these things.

Melody
