Bad weekend

I had a BAD weekend.
Yesterday was the worst. Could hardly use my arms all day. Soaking in the tub and resting all afternoon helped a bit.
My arms were so painfull. Heavy tingling and ache in arms and hands.

Was at the Osteopath therapist on Thursday. She really worked on my neck and my brachial plexus. She thinks my arm and hand problems may stem from the brachial area rather than my neck.

Could her trying to loosen up this area have cause all this pain and numbness??
It was like I was on NO meds.

wow. I am so sorry to hear you had pain out of control over the weekend. I am glad to see that you can drag yourself to the computer.
I don't know your dx, so I can't imagine exactly what is causing this unusually bad pain. The only thing I can do is free associate to a time before I got my correct diagnosis when a physical therapist said that my scalenes were "a mess" and he was going to really work on them to loosen me up. Well, it felt kind of like a good hurt while he was doing stretching and trigger point pressures and massage. But within 6-8 hours I started to stiffen up, and eventually had spasms so out of control that nothing would help for days. After a day and a half, my doctor gave me valium, and I remember that when it would wear off (for 3 days) I would go back to massive pain from spasms. However, if you say you felt fine Thurs. night and all of Saturday, it's hard to see teh connection. How long between the massage and the pain>

HI
I woke up the morning after the Osteopath visit with the bad pain. I felt a bit better sunday nite after soaking in a hot tub.

Today I feel much better, just the usuall stuff.

I am thinking that it was the manipulation in the brachial plexus area that did this, I will talk to the Osteopath therapist next week when I see her again. I do not want another 3 days of that.

I had a response to my questions about TOS on that forum. Looks like there are alot of testing to be done to rule out ALL other issues before diagnosing TOS.

Hopefully I can see my neurologist soon.

Last nite I was getting muscle spasms in 2 of my fingers. Also alot of burning areas.

Sounds like the hot soaks help. A midwife told me to take fresh ground Ginger a few tablespoons, add them to a hot bathe, and soak only for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. It acts as a muscle relaxer. Don't stay in too long because you might not get out. Once I was reading and lost track of time and when I tried to get out of the tub and I almost passed out...too relaxed, however I slept like a rock.

Hope you get some relief soon...((((HUGS))))
