Hi guys

Hi all just checking in......it has been quite some time since I have been in here to see how everyone is doing. I hope that everyone is well.

I have had a bad new year so far. I had to put my cat down on January 11. It was horriific for me. She is my sorry was my baby. She was my best pal who always knew when to give me the love I needed. I find a huge hole in my heart. We were together for 10 years....too little but she had bad kidney disease and I was hand feeding and watering her with a syringe....I waited too long to make the decision. But when I did it was hell I was a wreck...getting better and trying to scrapbook (despite the pain) for her a full book with lots of her pictures so i can recall the food times.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
many hugs and much love,
Victoria:hug:

Hey Gibbrn!

Its so good to hear from you! Its been way too long....

Im so sorry to hear of your loss. Hang in there. I know you did all you could do and although having to make the decision was unquestionably very hard, it sounds like you made the right choice. She is no longer suffering...

Oh Victoria,

I am so sorry. Our animals are EVERYTHING in my house - so much joy and love comes from them. And yes, the little girl cats know when Mom is not doing "ok" and they give us special attention...nothing but love from these sweet creatures.

I am so sorry that your baby got so sick. Do you remember when my sweet Shadow passed from the same thing? (2 years ago.)

Oh there is nothing I can say that can help right now, except take your time, work on your photos, and is there any way you could post a photo or send me a copy? I'd love to see her.

You're always giving support to everyone else, I hope that you can feel our prayers coming back now to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It isn't so long ago I made a similar decison about my beloved boy Chinook (my 16 yr old huskey). There are days I still cry. Take care and words can't express my deepest sympathies for your loss.

thanks guys

hi guys

thank you all for your kind words of support. I was just telling Marc how I have been feeling melancholy is how I described it and he said........You are lonely....... bang.....nail on the head I miss my baby and she was always here with me in the house all day long something to do and keep me busy....looking after my Shadow.

Tam I do remember your baby .....sorry
and Hairdresser I remember chinook as it was so recent....sorry

words really can't help I know that now and I have never really lost a family member before..as Marc says love is love doesn't matter if it is a person or a pet family member they are.

Thank you all again for all of your heart felt touching words.

much love and many hugs,
Victoria:hug:

Victoria, I am so sorry. I had to put my cat Sam to sleep 2 1/2 years ago. she was so ill she couldn't drink from her water bowl and couldn't walk a straight line. She was 15 but age doesn't matter when you love someone. Haven't heard from you lately. Glad your back. Linds

I'm sorry for your loss.

Pets can be so atuned to our mood, giving us that extra love when we are down or having a bad pain day. You must miss your Shadow :(

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
