For Those of You on Medicare

I'll be eligible for Medicare soon and I'm wondering...did you find a MediGap policy that was reasonable and, perhaps with Medicare Part D, are you DMD's covered under one or the other?

How much do you pay for your MediGap policy and who did you go with?

Thanks for sharing this info, if you can.:)

susieq, I just enrolled for Medicare and I will be with Blue Care Advantage but I have no idea the cost because the extra insurance will be paid by husband's company he retired from.

My mom is on Medicare, her only income is SS and she is below the poverty line for 1 so her Medicare is paid for by Medicaid and she gets help from SS paying her part D.

I have no info on the meds for MS but you can go to ssa.com and find out what prescription plan works best for your meds and your location.

Good luck.

I'll be interested to see what others say here too.

I have an amazing policy through my work, but I just put my in laws on the Humana policy. it was no deductible, and was reasonable in price. PLEASE call the Medicare office and speak to one of the reps. They have some amazing people that work there, and are very kind and very helpful.

RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH... go on live to MEdicare.gov. speak to your pharmacist and compare what drugs you are taking against what policies cover what drugs. The pharmacist is an often overlooked ally.

good luck.
