Those of you who have done this testing, was it worth your time? Did anything come from it? Please share your experience. Thanks!

I had one a few years ago, and they did a follow-up one about a year ago. I'm not sure if it was worth my time or not because both showed that I have no cognitive problems. They said it was good to have it done anyway just so they have a baseline to compare things to if problems ever do start.

hi,
I did the test last spring. I showed that i have working memory problems, the ms has lowered my IQ,and I have chronic depression, and anxity, and moderate short term memory problems. .
Then when I was seeing my neurophys he told me that I possibly have bipolar. The testing is helping me out on disabity.

I had these tests done years ago as a referral from my neuro. The tests did identify some of my cognitive problems which has helped me in certain situations and to avoid confusion, etc.

I asked my neuro to send me for this, but he told me I didn't need it! Guess I still seem "normal" level for something!!! LOL

I had it done and think it was well worth it. My neuro ordered it but my insurance would only pay for a mini exam. So when the neuro-psych doctor heard I had to cancel it, he did it for free. He said anyone with MS really needed it to not only define areas of dysfunction but could actually pinpoint more exactly in the brain where the defect was. His results really helped me understand that what I was experiencing was really real. I guess what I am saying is that it validated what I was feeling. My first sx were when I was 47, some people are feeling a little old and sluggish at that time and he showed me that a lot was MS. It also helped me because I have only one lesion so I am only clinically probable MS but with the degree of problems that the testing showed it helped my neuro and helped me get my SSD. So go for it. I'm an RN so I think all kinds of tests are exciting!!!!!

State ordered it to be considered for SSDI

I had to have it done to be considered for SSDI. The letter said if I refused the test I would not be considered for SSDI.

It was a long for hours of match game, interview, remember this, etc and I was exhausted.

Anyhow; I got a 10 page copy of the report and was approved for SSDI and now two years later receive Medicare also.
