Wednesday Diet lets get started on the roll early

Its just past midnight at my house. But I thought so many are having
problems. So lets try to think this out and get each other some
encouragement.

I will be having my oatmeal with brown sugar and tiny bit of 2% milk
and my morning meds with rest of 2% milk 8oz or less cup.
Required by doctor. Need some for bones.

Also either hot tea or hot chocolate, for my cough, but it will be
little later, my son is already on 2 hour delay.

We have fog, and rain and flooding and are already bracing for the
red cross, and to talk more about disaster relief. Feeling more sorry
for my fellow Indiana's.

Snack I'm hoping for a treat of juice from somewhere other than home,
100% juice
granola bar

Post lunch and after noon snack later in day.

No downers every one looks perfect to me.

I was just about to go to bed and saw your post, Donna. Oatmeal sounds good! I think I will have that as well! I will let you know tomorrow afternoon how the day goes. I liked your post...upbeat and positive!! Have a great night!:)

good morning Donna and I never heard it rain harder! You're further south in Indiana than I am so I think you got even more than we did.

Billie I hope you're ok down there!

Breakfast: 6 oz. tomatoe juice, an omelet with dill, and 2 slices of turkey bacon.

Taking my Pastor to lunch so that might pose a problem.

Alffe

To me when you take your pastor to lunch it can't pose a problem with
your diet. What you do is when you talk to the lord in private of course.
Before you go, you say could you please help me out just a little
and let the pastor know how much a nice lite type lunch would mean
to me.

Maybe he/she is dieting too and would love it if you say something like
hope you don't mind if I try to eat lite so I don't wreck my diet completely
so I can have some dessert.

I am still not feeling well today but I will not be eating all those bad things I ate yesterday. I had cereal for breakfast (I know, it should have been oatmeal) and I promise not to eat any of those yummy cookies.

You guys help so much, thank you for helping me eat better by just being here!

Wednesday roll call

Greetings Everyone!

I just discovered this site today and I am sure glad that I did. I have decided to change my relationship with food and to stop using the act of eating as a purely recreational sport! So now I try to have "sensible" meals. I do not refer to what I am doing as "cutting back" or "scaling down" or "smaller portions" because that sends my brain an invitation to fight. So, if I eat a sensible meal, I know exactly what that entails...portion control, intelligent selections, pre-planning (for outings) and attention to food groups. I am a recovering fast food junkie, so I promised myself that I would allow myself two trips to my favorite "pusher" a month, however, I must commit to making sensible selections...NO SUPERSIZING...NO DOLLAR MENU...AND NO FRIED APPLE PIES!

So far it's working. I don't dwell on weight loss either, just being smarter and kinder to myself and focusing on making sensible selections each day and CHOOSING to behave responsibly. At 52, I want to look forward to my 60s in a much healthier, happier state of being. I heard Jamie Lee Curtis say on a talk show that one of things she learned in recovery is that we can do anything we want (or not) and that we must stop saying "I can't do it," instead say "I CHOOSE to do it," or "I CHOOSE not to do it" (that means at this moment, this meal or this juncture). Absolutely true. Don't beat yourself up if you choose to abandon your sensible choices, however, own your choices and be at peace with your decision. Then, get back to forward thinking.

So, I am choosing to commit to ME and invite everyone in this forum to make self-same commitment. I am choosing to gain control. Let's do it!

Peace and Blessings.
