Still Here
Hi everyone...
Just thought I would let everyone know that I am still here...I have had a lot going on lately - so I have not had as much time for the computer, which I guess can be a good thing. Although I did treat myself to a new laptop (a tablet) and a great lil lap desk that makes using the computer a bit easier. I am working through a good round of physio lately. I had some reservations about it, it seemed a little intense, but I am listening to my body and making sure my healthcare providers are listening to me. Thats a battle that we all know is difficult to win! I am willing to share my current treatment with anyone who wants to hear about it. Other than that pain is still my biggest enemy followed closely by numbness and muscle spasms. Waiting to see some more specialists and going for an ultrasound of a bump on my upper arm - doc figures it is a fat tumour or a cyst but better to get it checked out. I will start lurking around more...I hope everyone is doing okay! |
Hi Jamy , It's good to hear from you.
Great to hear the therapy is going well too. :grouphug: |
Jamy,
I have had major, pain med changes. My pain med doc switched me from oxy contin to methadone within a week, with Tizanidine, Ambien, Fiorecet and thyroid me. (I give this information only because I care about other people and their pain management problems, but do not waive my overall right to medical privace.) Now there's something new I've put in that is totally non-pharmacy. Go to the pharmacist and ask if in his refrigerator if they have B12 sublingual and yeast lacto bacillus pills, also chew type. Take the b12 at every meal or 4 times per day, it is water soluble so if you take too much you just "pee it out" as a doc said, and the yeast pill take two a day, some take more. This has helped with pain so much. The b12 is supposed to be hard to get enough of in regular food and is a big repairer of nerves and nerve pain. God bless. |
