I am Nancy, mother of a soon to be 13 year old girl, love of my life, reason for my happiness and my very special gift. I also am married to a man of 15 years. My saviors at this point in my life as I am sort of disabled emotionally and physically, due to my RA and my mothers recent death.

Until I know what type of MS I have, and perhaps other diseases are dx'd, my sanity lies within my heart and soul, my animals, my daughter, and my church, and of course all my precious God sent animals. My cc'd GDB yellow lab, my 2 Abysinnian sisters, and my black long haired domestic, and my 4 parakeets!

I am currently seeing a neuro opthamologist, a couple of neurologists, a great GP, a pain therapist PHD, a pain specialist MD, bereavement group at church. Currently looking for another RA doctor, and a family counselor for my husband and I, who are having difficulties thru all of this.

Gee what else?!!!

Nancy from Redmond, WA

Hi Nancy and Welcome to NeuroTalk. Boy, you really do have a plateful, but sounds like you and your daughter have a wonderful bond. I'm sorry about the loss of your Mother. I lost my dear Mom last June, and while going through the grieving process, I really felt my sx's harder and longer.

Please accept my sympathy. It's also stressful to have problems regarding your marriage, but looking for a counselor is, IMHO, a good start.

Take care Nance and I'm glad you are here with us. NT is an amazing place w/real caring, helpful members.

Hey, Nancy. :)

Have you had an MRI? If you have, you might consider getting it checked out by a neurosurgeon. MS is often mis-dx'ed in patients with Chiari Malformation, the herniation of the cerebellar tonsils in the lower back of the brain. If any degree of herniation is found, and you hear, "Oh, it's barely any at all and has nothing to do with your symptoms," push for answers and get other opinions. Not all nsgs know about Chiari, so you might hear something like this. Even a nearly imperceptible herniation can result in serious symptoms for some.

Good luck!

LIZARD :)
