*&^#@$#&* I'm so mad

Dangnabitall. Michael's Pedi just called and said that the EEG showed "Gneralized Spike and Wave activity" during the sleep portion. He has put a call into the Pedi Epi for an earlier appointment and at what dosage he should start back on Depakote. Dang.

Doh! Sorry to hear that, however, it is always good that things do show up during testing vs not showing during testing but still going on. It's nice that it is caught, even if it isn't a good find - it's good TO find so you can treat it.

Why Depakote, though? Do other meds not work, or is that just what the doctor thinks will work best?

It's what he took for years and it worked very well for him. It's a mixed blessing to have it show up. I didn't want them to find anything, but I did want to find something...grrr.

Well, rats. I don't know what to say - at least say clearly.
I'll keep you and your son in my prayers.

your mommy heart knew there was something wrong. you did the right thing to have the eeg. i know he cried and it was painful getting the electrodes off. but better to know and have the meds right?

could his falling have been from a sz?

prayers and hugs. call me if you need to talk.
