1st rebif shot
 

Well, did my first one last night. I was bad and didn't do the home training. This isn't my first time at the rodeo ya know.

I had called before to set up the training and realized it was the same wingnuts that came out to do my training for beta. Wasn't having them again.

Anyway, feeling bad today as I expected but, doing ok. Hope this is the one.

Now the next one will be in my leg which was always the worst on beta(with the site reactions) Any tips would be helpful. Like to you ice or heat before and/or after. Ya know things I wouldn't think of. Thanks all.

Do you use the autoinject or just do the shot manually?

I am on Beta and found that the autoinject left the worst marks. I inject manually now and hardly have any site reactions. The key (for me) is to go s-l-o-w. I use my tummy and saddlebag area almost exclusively since they are not seen by anyone and even if there was a site reaction it wouldn't be noticeable to anyone but me.

I can't inject into my arms very well because my right hand is numb and I can't control the syringe well with my left hand.

Sorry, I use the auto injector. No way I can do it myself. Have tried to no avail. My hand over rides my brain saying to go ahead and get it done.:D

I stopped using the arms when I was on beta because of my hands being useless most of the time and the shots just hurt more there. Already made my mind up not to go there.

I like my belly the most cause I haven't had any feeling in that area since 2002. None whatsoever.

Having been on Rebif and Avonex, fixing to start Copax! I can tell you that different areas hurt differently with different shots! So give Rebif a chance in all areas before deciding.

Rebif was given to me manually by my husband, as I physically was unable to do the shots. I always ibuprofened up, but never iced Rebif.... Rebif was prone to burning while administering....don't know why....

Beta burned too when I was on that. I'm definitely not giving up on it.

I feel very fortunate to receive it free this first year. So, absolutely staying on for that long. As long as the bloodwork stays good.
