Greetings

I was diagnosed with RLS several years ago and have taken sinamet and now requip. They work well to control the symptoms. I have noticed that I tend to do things rather compulsively. Thankfully I don't gamble. I find that I get carried away with doing crossword puzzles, playing computer solitaire, and knitting. Isn't that strange? At least when I knit, I produce something! Anyone else experience these symptoms?:winky:

The dopamine agonists can precipitate serious obsessive compulsive behaviours in some people. It's been mentioned already: compulsive eating, shopping, gambling, hypersexuality.

Yours actually seem quite mild, so don't worry too much! At least you know about the compulsivity and you can stop the medication if you feel problematic behaviours developing.

The dopamine agonists do provide good symptomatic relief in most people.

I can't take them now, but my symptoms have decreased in recent years. They still disturb my sleep but not as severely. I am doing a special yoga, having acupuncture and taking some Chinese herbs and that all seems to help too.

Thanks for your reply. Glad to hear that your symptoms are better. I wish I had a good leg massage before bed - I need to send my husband for training!!
