Symptom question

Did anyone ever have soreness and pain below breast area from TOS?

trixlynn 02-22-2008 05:59 PM

Yes, I have pain there all the time.

Yes!!! I have it now!

I had a mamogram and ultrasound to rule out anything - so I am assuming that I use the trunk of my body more to compensate for the weak arms. As I pick things up I sort of 'scoop' them with my arms and press them against my body. Maybe... maybe I am making my ribs sore by doing this???

Any thoughts?

My pain is right below the breast area. Rib area. I think it was caused by sort of the same thing. I use that area more to compensate for week arm. Also, posture is terrible, I may crunch that area up when sitting and etc..

there is a nerve called the inter coastal that runs in that area too - if it is getting pinched or bothered somewhere along it's route it can cause pain in that area.
I can't seen to find a good diagram for it though.:( to show it.

here's an old thread talking about it-

Woo Hoo !

One symtom that I do not have ;)

All of these muscle groups and nerves are interdependent, so it doesn't surprise that an effort to lessen TOS pain, like different posture, would cause issues in another area.
