PTttttttt

:)

Started PT today. I have decided I need a job like that now. Although I will no longer get paid to make people scream, I can make them laugh hysterically when I show them just how they get there leg up THERE  and their foot over THERE :icon_eek: and bend like THIS :yikes:

I tell you, if I make it through this, someone better put me up for patient of the year. Did I say they get paid for this?

It BETTER work...:plain:

All I can say...

Riverwild is this:

GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK and please leave me out of it should they ask if ya know of anyelse who might want ta join ya. lol!!

Hope PT helps you :)

I had PT after I broke my ankle and could finally put weight on it. The PT wanted me on a balance board - I told her when she found something for me to hold onto THEN I would get on that board :p:rolleyes:

I had her trained pretty good - she wouldn't ask me to do something until I had something to hold onto :D

I was told by the PT my walking/ankle was as good as it was going to get

WTH - I don't think so! I went home ready to prove she was wrong. It took me awhile but I proved her wrong - Have I ever mentioned I'm a little bit stubborn :D

Back to work, RW - lift that leg, move that foot and bend.....

I wish you well RW.

I'm convince "PT" stands for "Personal Torture."

The only thing lacking in their repertuar is waterboarding and bamboo up your fingernails. Of course, that may be coming in the near future. You never can tell with those people.

braingonebad 02-23-2008 05:13 PM

Maybe I'm a massochist. I enjoyed it. Not the bamboo, but the rest of it.

:p

Mmmm... electro stim! :D

Sorry RW. Mine must have been a LOT nicer than yours is.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments, folks! :)

I think the lady pegged me as an overacheiver or something. She was showing me this :Thats-Funneh: put my foot on the back of the chair behind me and "don't kneel on your kneecap" and sttttretch that leg by leaning back towards the heel of the foot on the back of the chair!!

I spazzed up so hard I couldn't even scream, just an open mouthed "Silent Scream" thing..LOL. The only good thing was the table beside me that I fell on, trying to unbend before I went through the ceiling. Repeat that about twenty times with different muscles and then tell me to try to do all of those exercises in sets of three, twice a day until next week. :yikes:

Funny Lady!

She puts me on the bike to do all over exercise of my legs. When I told her I couldn't feel resistance at the 5.0 setting on that bike, she cranked it up to 10.0. It was all uphill from there for TEN MINUTES! I jello'd off the seat and held on all the way to where my coat was hanging. It took me twenty minutes to be able to drive away.

I can already tell we are going to have fun. I am willing to give this the best I can to see just how far one can come back with the help of Tysabri. I want to be working back at my old job by spring!!!!

It better work. It already hurts.

SallyC 02-23-2008 09:46 PM

Sheesh, Are you sure you aren't overdoing it a bit? I don't want you to hurt yourself.

:hug::hug::hug:
