Did the Weather guys get the winter forecast wrong or what??

Well, as I wait in northern Illinois for another dumping of snow, I think we need to have an apology from all of those weather people for their forecast last fall.

Our local guy here on WGN said, "Well, with LaNina in force in the Pacific Ocean, our winter will be warmer and drier."
Hah!! We've had one of the cloudiest, coldest, snowiest winters since the late '70s!!
We need to put the stock things that the Colonialists had in the town square back, and put the weather forecasters in them!

I'm with ya on this one Debbie!!! My son lives in Chicago for past yr and half and he said the weather has been absolutely unbearable when walking to & from train station to work. I'm in Northeast Ohio and here too..we haven't had quite as MUCH snow as your area, but the bitter cold has just been the real enemy this past month.
My two older sisters & I all three married men that were in the weather forecaster area of the Air Force (was a training base close to my home town). My Dad used to say..here I am with three son in laws all weather forecasters...and I STILL can't get them to tell me the correct weather at the correct time!!! LOL

The weather man/woman are evil I tell ya! I am sitting here now watching the ugly snow fall in Somonauk. Ugh.

OK, don't hate me, but our weather peeps were saying this winter we'd have record snowfalls..Hmmm..:Scratch-Head:
We've had plenty of cold, cold, cold, but the record snow falls have all swung south, to ummm..Chicago. :Sorry:

What I love (not) is how they change their story at the last minute. For three days they were saying flurries, maybe an inch today. Then last night they said 6" plus.

Well, 8" and it's still snowing.

I could have told them that much.
