Better Omega Supp?

Can you tell me which is better. The epha:dha 6:1 formula omega which has 500 mg of epa and says between 25 and 100mg of dha. This says for minor pain support. Or the regular fish oil by nature made that has 1200mg per pill. I am confused on this. The other brand is metagenics

I take regular fish oil...

DHA is important for the brain.

The high EPAs were designed for bipolar patients initially and tend to cost more.
Their claim that the EPA is more anti-inflammatory is true, but we need DHA too for brain health.

In some cases high DHA works better too. I had my son on Carlson's Super DHA after 2 yrs on regular fish oil, and this helped his ADHD better.

So some personal differences do exist.

Now that fish oils are enteric coated for the most part, taking more is not much of a hassle or discomfort. That 1200mg NatureMade is the weight of the whole capsule, not representative of the separate contents.

We use the double strength enteric coated ones now, to save $$ and time.
Both are available at Costco and SAMs club.

Thanks Mrs D. So confusing with all these different products and brands with confusing labels.
