My First Memory Was...

... standing in the bedroom doorway watching my mama change my baby sister's diaper. Maybe I was jealous, curious,.... don't know why that is my earliest memory. But in my mind it seems like only yesterday. Baby sister was tiny, so I wouldn't have been more than 1 1/2 years old. :icecream:

I am always amazed with people's first memories......what is yours????

Ice Capades

My first memory is:

Sitting on my uncles lap at the Ice Capades... I was 2. I can remember it very clearly....

We were sitting way up in the arena in an aisle seat.

I cherish that memory... My uncle died a few months later in a vehicle fire.

I was born on my uncle's birthday... we had a special bond.

 Thank you for taking me back... ahhh...memories.

Your uncle sounds to you like my grandpa was to me!

I can still smell his bib overalls when I sat on his lap... here his laugh and see the twinkle in his eyes.... I could live in memory lane for the rest of my life! At least take long dreamy walks.

Thank you!

Climbing the stairs and going into my sisters' room in the attic. I don't know how old I was.

The next memory I have is around that same age...

My uncle---different one---owned an Italian restaurant and bar...

I used to crawl under the swinging bar door. then crawl around behind the bar and sit there until he noticed me... he'd then pick me up and sit me on the bar.

I remember him telling all of his patrons to look at me. He would let me sit there as long as I wanted... feeding me breadsticks and playing with me.

Memory lane... what a fun stroll... :)

Riding in my grandma's shiny red convertible and playing on her rooftop across from Wrigley Field. I couldn't have been more than two.

The first memory I can truly pinpoint is watching Star Wars at the drive - in movie theater. It was the summer it had come out. We were loaded for bear with blankets, ice chests of food and drink, etc in the dodge ram van my parents had. I was 3 and my bro was 8.

LOL, probably the reason I became a sci fi fan. :D

first memory is of my 3rd birthday party...

I got a one piece lemon yellow bathing suit with bright blue duckies on it, and a matching yellow swim cap, with a blue duck on one side.

our family was at Jones Gulch Camp in La Honda, California, in 1960.

in the big mess hall after dinner, the lights suddenly went out, and a cake with three brightly-burning candles appeared, like magic.

all the other campers sang "Happy Birthday to You!" and I opened the white box with my new bathing suit...

1960??? OMG!! I was at school then!!

My 1st real memory was when I was about 3 1/2 or 4 years old.....NO! I am NOT telling you what year! :D . But I was in hospital to have my tonsils removed.

I remember a female person holding an anaesthetic mask over my face before I went under. It was such a scary experience I had nightmares for years.

I do "remember" other things from when I was even younger, but I'm not sure now whether I really remember, or whether I remember because my parents mentioned these things when I was older.

mine was not a good one, and when i mentioned it to my mom she says I was about 18 months old, when this happened cause she left my abusive father right after it happened, he drank too much.
