They are nice places for those that qualify. Brent's house is for cancer patients and mostly if not always for kids only. It's just around the corner from Children's Hospital in Denver.

Ronald McDonald is just for kids getting treatment at one of the Hospital's and their family and is pretty much across the street or 2 blocks away from Denver Children's.

The Inn at PSL no longer is there, it was torn down a few months ago. There is a hotel but you have to be seeing a doctor that works at PSL or St. Joe's. There's also a place called St. Christopher's House near St. Joe's. But again you have to be a patient at St. Joe's or PSL. http://www.exempla.org/care/lodging/ Neither were free. St. Chris' doesn't discount and costs about $45.00 a night.

The Angel Flights are in small planes & often tough on the stomach and in bad weather the flights are canceled. Very risky if one has to be someplace for appointments or surgery. Also you often have to provide proof of need. Tax return or pay stubs of yourself or spouse.

A great thing if you have the time and no money to get some place. But they are getting very picky right now on who gets picked for such flights.

Kim, About the Angel type life flights; one of our forum members had used this to fly to our area and was given regular airflights on major carriers.
The income and a form of neeed by the doctor was used and tickets were supplied.

The flight was delayed in Phila for extremly poor weather and all treatment was as if they were a regular consumer for consideration.
The only problem was a flight was changed for convienance and the luggage was not caught in time and had come in on a later flight, it was dropped at the clients door in the morning.

If this is an option you need to consider, we have not used it in the last 18 months, but did find it a good experiance. One trip really made a difference in legal matters was a win-win situation outcome from the trip.

PS I am off a few days of family sun and fun and REST!!!!
Out to finish looking for last minute items. One more day of work.....
Oh, and the president is flying in tomorrow. I hope it does not delay our flight!

Disney World

Di, wear comfy shoes and bring an umbrella for the sun. Rest during the heat of the day in the hotel and bring LOTS of $$$$. It ain't cheap :o

Lil Lisa went this spring and loved every minute of it as she went to every luncheon and tea available for little girls and wore a princess outfit to match each princess hostess. We waited until she was old enough to enjoy the magic and all the Disney Characters but I told her that this was it and her next trip there will be her taking her own kids..... with her own $$$.

I feel sad that Disney World/Land is sooooooooooo expensive prohibiting many families from bringing their children. Every child deserves a trip to Disney and it should be affordable to everyone....

Have fun..

$$$$

Hi Lisa,
My gang is old hands and old fuds, been tehre done that attitude. I am not sure we will do Disney, if we do it will be only a day. We have 7 day passes for Universal for $85. and going to a Medievil Times Dinner theather for $35.00and the Beach, on Moday.

It is going to be hot, but I see over cast, The visit index is only a 6 out of 10. Although. next week the highs are 77 though. So I will put up with 86 and cloudy or chance of shower.
Rented a scooter for De.

It is 1:30 AM and our flight is 6:00 Am, I ahve to be at the airport at least 90 minutes before...so that leaves me about 2 hours two finsih packing and sleep.

Guess a nap when I get there.
See you all when I get back
Di
