Huge Impact

I thought about this last night and wasn't going to post about it but decided to anyway.

The last few weeks I have been having alot of sx's. Just not feeling well and for the last couple days I have been going through some kinda deep depression. Not wanting to go anywhere, just kinda laying around.

A lot of you guys know that I am known as the wannabe. Always wanting to do things but never actually doing them.

I have never seen the ocean and my dream is to put my feet in before I can't feel them anymore. I just want to smell it or hear the waves crashing!

Yesterday was a really bad day for me. Crying all day. Praying I would get out of this awful slump that I'm in.

The phone rings and I answer it and I hear a voice saying "Beth listen to this". At first I thought I heard just back noise like wind or something.

It was the sound of the OCEAN! When she told me what it was I was speechless. I have never heard the sound of an Ocean.

She has no Idea what a Huge Impact she had on me yesterday! No Idea!

She thinks it is no big deal! I'm here to say it was a very big deal to me.

Thank you so very much my friend for thinking of me.

Beth, I am so glad you posted. I was wondering about you yesterday as I hadn't seen you post in a while.

Your post did bring tears to my eyes. I know how much you want to see and visit the ocean as it has been discussed in other threads. What a caring and wonderful friend you have. That was very thoughtful.

It's amazing how simple gestures like this can pull us out of a funk.

Heck, I'm still willing to meet you in San Diego this summer. The temps are perfect and it's not too humid. :D:p

How very thoughtful!! I hopr you feel better soon, we all know what the funk is and its no fun! I often do that to my mom...when we go to the beach I hold the phone up so she can here the waves crashing....maybe you should come to VA for a visit!

I sure hope you feel better soon and get to fulfill your dream. Id say come to Florida where Im at but we dont have big waves, only when theres a storm. San Diego or Virginia would be awesome, Ive lived in both areas and those are cool ocean places.

Get better soon and live your dream. Good luck.

Im sorry you are not feeling well Beth but what a kind thing for this
friend to do.:) The ocean is just an amazing thing. I hope that one
day you can see it in person.

Yay for friends,

Sox

Awwww. Such a NICE friend to do that for you!

I am sorry to hear you aren't feeling well and I hope that the waves were the kick in the hiney that your symptoms needed to GET OUT!

Now we have to plan how we are going to get you TO the ocean! Does it matter which one you get to first?

ahhhhhh Beth...

I'd audio-tape the ocean here in Belize for ya, but alas, it makes very little noise.

because of the barrier reef, by the time the waves make it ashore, they barely LAP at the sand!

beach at my friend Trish's house, and her boat

here's a video of the waves coming ashore, just for you

(no people, no animals, no distractions, just the beach in this video!):

Beth, sometimes you have to just GO DO IT, to make things happen.

I'll be praying for you that you realize your dream of travel SOON.
