Books on Tape??
I told my friend, who is blind, about a certain book on CD, and she said she couldn't listen to books right now because she doesn't have a CD player that will stop, then pick up where she left off. They all go back to the beginning again. Shows you what I know about CD players, huh?
Do any of you listen to books on CD? Can you tell me what kind of machine you use, and where you got it? She had been listening to books, so whatever she had must have croaked. Thank you! |
very good question. i have books on tapes...but don't the books on cds have chapters like tracks? she might have to listen to a few minutes if she does stop in mid chapter....but the fw button fw's chapters.
if she does listen on a computer...then it does stop where she left off. i just talked to an employee at half price books on the phone. :D |
I agree...
... that the CD books have the chapters as tracks. So if you know what track you leave off it's pretty easy to find your place.

If she has a pause on the CD player or computer that will be her best bet if she doesn't have a MP3 player. Tell her if on the computer to pause her book and just close the lid. That hibernates the computer rather than turns it off completely.
Another option is to get an MP3 player. Or, our favorite place to buy audio books is audible.com They have a good software program to use to listen to their books. |
i bought a book on tape and didnt lesten to it all yet-the ezekiel project
i think space bar puts it on pause |
