Quality contol for Copax!
 

:mad: Geeze maybe who ever supplies the needles for these Copax shots, needs to have some type of better quality control in place. Nothing like a dull needle, holy cow. I think I would have less pain with a butter knife.

I did one sunday night that felt like someone shoved a Lawn Dart thru my leg. It hurt! and I was injecting into a rather...plumpy...area of my leg.

When SS calls me and asks how I'm doing, I'll be telling them sore, because the needles are dull. I'm giving them the lot number of this particular box too. (538583)

I'm having my dad give my shot in a rarely injected spot tonight. I just cant deal with autojecting today. My dad is extremely gentle with the needles.

I really have to learn how to do this manually.

I certainly wouldn't wait until THEY called me, I would be calling them! Dull needles can cause all sorts of problems...starting with the medication not getting where it belongs!! And infection.

I was never impressed with SS during the short period of time I was on Copax...I know they do the best they can, but I'd be on the phone with them finding out what the problem is! I bet you two aren't the only ones with problems! :(

I agree, jmiller.:cool: Something needs to be done - did you contact SS about it?:rolleyes: I had a dull and crooked one last month that literally stuck in my arm after injection.:mad:

That one caused me the first REAL pain I ever have experienced with the syringes since starting in 2002.:eek: So, I decided to take about a month break from the shots to regroup, as Moose would say.:D

I will start a new box of Copaxone in about one week, and hopefully the problem has been addressed and corrected.:cool: If not, we will just sick you on them:p:D.

I remember having one Copaxone shot where the syringe was so dull that it didn't break the skin even with the autoject set on 6. I thought it was me! I compared the tip to a previous syringe and the stupid thing was dull and actually had a burr on it!

I don't miss those shots at all.

Don't wait for SS to call you, call them, they make enough money to make sure the stupid things are sharp and ready for injection!

When I found the burr on the tip of that needle, they replaced the whole box.

Has anyone ever had that?
It sucked cause when I was pushing down so hard,I wiggled the needle,and ouchy!!

The shot I gave myself last night doesnt even itch (used the autoject) but the shot I gave myself sunday night (autoject again) still burns and hurts when I touch it. (showing it to my dad later, just in case it got infected somehow)

Seems like at least once every other week, I get an injection that really hurts when it's done, and it stays sore and itchy for the next 5 - 7 days. Bad needles? maybe?

Well I get my box of copax from the Veterans Administration, Ill see what they say.

sure am glad my left side is numb I dont feel the injections, :p

Try some Arnica gel on it Erin. That seemed to work for me.

Jmiller, it doesn't matter where you get it from, it all comes from the same place...I would call SS...tell them the problem.
