communication misfire with leg
Hi all.
First time this ever happened to me and was wondering if anyone else might have had something similar. I was at work and went to get up to go to the printer. No problem with left leg, but my right didn't move. It stayed in the sitting down position. It wasn't weakness, it was more like the leg said "huh? you want me to do what? get back to me in a second." It's like it didn't receive the info it needed and just stayed put. It freaked me out for a moment. Tried again and all was fine. A part of me wants to call the neuro and tell him what happened. Another part of me wants to keep my mouth shut for now since I've just gone through an MRI in Jan and not sure insurance will pay for another so close to it. My neuro is a little MRI happy, and I see him again next month anyways. Ahh, another part of this wonderful rollar coaster ride I've found myself on. Thanks for listening. |
yeah, Finny, remember a few weeks back, I was whining about a long day, and getting back home, and trying to get out of the car, on the passenger side?
right leg went out fine, no problemo, left leg sat there like a sack o' potatoes. the "misfire" went on for about 4 minutes, after which, I gave up sending the signal, lol. had to get my friend to come around, and actually *LIFT* the leg out of the car! after that, although I was a tad unsteady, I *did* manage to get to the house ok. |
Hey Fin,
You don't have to do any procedure you really don't want....I would call and let the neuro know though....hopefully it is a one time deal thing. |
Kay, you're right. You did mention that. Sorry, cog fog. :o
Bird, You're right, I could tell them no to the MRI. For all I know, it's one of the leisons already on my spine. My hubby thinks if it happens again, call. If not, mention it at appointment in April. Thanks for your responses. :grouphug: |
