same question as last time I asked

I probly am the cheese stands alone but still searching for imfo on the shakey jaw thing??????

sunflower 10-18-2006 06:50 PM

not one of my problems

I can imagine that having tremors would be a terrible nuisance - but I haven't had to deal with that at all, just the various forms of pain. Eye and cheek tics sometimes - I think that's pretty common. My fears when performing or teaching always centered on having a bad pain attack because they just immobilize me. Maybe someone else will check in with an answer for you. Nancy

no shaky jaws here yet! i've had tremors when i was on trileptal and while on neurontin, but those were to the extremities and definately drug related. my anxiety makes me shake to (i don't even know i'm doing it). Are you sure it just not nervousness or stress? Just something to consider.

Great job on getting 2nd, by the way!
take care, e

Hi there. It's good to meet you.

I have no tremor, or jumping. I can't imagine what that is to deal with. :(

I, also, can't do the anti-seizure meds...makes it hard because before my first surgery they really helped me. I just can't function with them. With also having PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), any feeling of sedation, weakness, grogginess causes too much stress. Sometimes with treatment, it feels like I'm choosing the lesser of two evils which isn't a fun feeling.

Anyhow, that's more than you asked for. ;) I can't relate with the "shakey jaw" and wish you well.

Again, it's good to meet you.

sunflower I remember your posts from old b.t. . I guess I am lucky when I feel a flare up starting or think one may happen I turn on my stim and leave it on low or higher if needed. but it dosent stop the shakey. so when you are teaching speaking and those thoughts of pain attacks fly around your mind what do you do to vanish them? and how did you get past standing there and the feeling everyone is staring at your face.. and the oh no I dont want an attack (or me a shakey fit )and have to explaine? would you just stop and sit down or go to restroom or leave??? My jaw tremored at the food store I was in line at the deli going to order turkey or something and not stressed or anything and bam spaz dance came. I just left my cart and the store and sat in car. Up set cus if I went home with no food hub and kids think mom nuts and not able to do simple thing. had to go back in and yikes.
EE03 it is probly stress and nervousness but 2 docs have told me it is my nerve miss firing and not much can be done . I have my lower right side with nerve snapped in half from accident and plates holding both lower side together. I also have a pens implant that has been a God send and has given me back part of life again. thanks for the congrats I think it was you on the 2ed place. Fun to write but reading is the learing challenge part of it. face my fear I say. ha ha.
K.D. Love your halloween deco . halloween is a fav at my house. I dont think any of you that posted back or just readers will get shakey jaw . tics yeah but I wouldnt worry about tremors and t.n. I think it is diffrent from t.n. and it is just a misfiring nerve . fidning coping skills and learing to relax when I cant will be things to do to get a little more better at life . ha ha
so then I guess thatd be a good question to post ... how do you relax or a ways to relax poll and see what people say.
Many armfulls of thanks for lending your ideas and thoughts to my issue.
smiles and painfree peace to all of you.
Burntmarshmallow p.s. forgot to say it is also nice to meet you k.d. :)

Aww. I wish you hadn't deleted it. :(

I like to tell myself (I fit into the 1.4% with a type of epilepsy that was renamed into a syndrome due to being so rare) that it makes me unique. If I had those odds playing the lotto, look out!

My face randomly does stuff, but I can't ever tell if it's a seizure, standard spasm, or some TN symptom.

I'd like to hear some of the poetry (fan of slam) if you have any!
