Update on Earl
Ok, I know I should have really been keeping you informed on my progress but I honestly just got around to it.
Surgery went well on the 10th. that whole day was a blur to me thanks to the fun med's they knocked me out with. Despite my requeest, they did not send me home with a 6 pack of it. I was transfered by the rehab facility van on Tuesday the 11th and it is there that I will reside until the 29th or 3rd of April. The food is medium quality at best but that might help me lose weight. The worst part of being here is they have to give me IV antibiotic from 2AM -4AM, not fun because it is a painful med. So far (besides the pain from stretching muscles and tendons that are tightened up, I am progressing 'well" according to the RN's. Yesterday they me stand in the standing frame for 14 minutes, (google it) straps they wrap around your butt lift you out of your chair. Today they are going to try to get me in the parallell bars and try to make my first steps. Wish me luck. Right now, I gotta take a nap before my next torture session. Earl. |
Glad you are back
Hope you continue to do well.

Excellent update Earl - can't wait to hear about your progression!

Hi Earl, so glad you are doing well! I really hope you do well with the therapies and are able to progress.
What is the antibiotic? Just wondering. When I took Levaquin I would find I would get so stiff (my legs mostly) that I could almost not walk (usually not a problem for me). That is actually when I fell down my steps head first! Make sure you keep on top of this. I know the antibiotics are important, but give some time to this process as you may find they affect you adversely. The docs don't like to consider the side effects of the antibiotics, but if you search out Levaquin you sure do see lots and lots of negative posts agout it. Keep us posted okay.... Tootsie |
