Prayers Needed & Some Good New

I've been struggling since December (major depression). I see my counsellor weekly and my doc is adjusting my meds but so far nothing has helped. So I'm asking for your prayers to help get me through this. :(

Even though I'm struggling healthwise, something good has happened in my life and I want to share it. I've been exploring my faith and spirituality this past year and have found a church home that actually feels like "home." So, even though I was baptised in the Anglican faith (sprinkled with water) I've decided to be baptised again, this time by immersion, in my new church home on Easter Sunday! I'm excited and looking forward to this and just wanted to share.

Thanks for listening. :)

Deborah, Sorry you are struggling with that nasty ole depression. I will certainly ask God to give you strengh and guidance, as you work through this difficult time. HUGS!

How wonderful you found a church that makes you feel at home. And what better day to get baptized than Easter Sunday. Thanks for sharing your good news!

Wishing you some comfort soon!!

Deborah,

Congrats on finding a new church home. It's all too easy to give into cynicism and anger in this world (I don't know your story but mine includes three tours of Iraq as a soldier). I do know that such things are exhausting.

My solace, strength, peace and happiness continue as they always have - through the Lord. Being anchored in the fact that His love for me
was always there, in the desert, got me through those tours. Greater is
His love than anything that we face here.

Psalm 20:7 was my Guide-On and Standard during those tours, as equipment and men can fail, but the Lord my God never will:

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."

Happy Easter week and my prayers will be with you :grouphug:

Deborah,

Congrats on finding a new "Home" that
you're comfortable and happy with and
I'm sure you're all excited about the up-
coming Easter baptism too. Nothing wrong
with that at all! It's a wonderful move that
you're making! God bless you on this special
occasion on this upcoming Sunday!

Remember, every move you make you're
making, is a step closer to the LORD!

:)
