Can't Slepp...Pins & Needles...

...Here we go again!!! I was expecting miracles with the Betaseron I started 2 months ago. When I started it, I was at the end of a several month long attack. That is when I was quickly dx with ms. By the time I started the Beta, everything was tapering off and kinda dimenished, not completely, but more do-able. The last 2 or 3 weeks, though, I have had a few hints of returning symptoms. Now tonight, BAM! It full blown pins and needles, all over, but especially from the waist up. :( I cannot sleep. One, for the discomfort, and two because I wanted the Beta to be such a cureall that this would not come back for years. HELP!!! IS ANYONE OUT THERE NOT SLEEPING??? For your sake I hope not. But if you are, I need a
Thanks!:o

I must admit I too have my days!

I've been lucky lately in that the pins and needles have been intermittent, but I do understand what you've been going through.

"Happy Easter" Friend2U. I hope your symptoms ease soon.

Awake (barely) on the West Coast ....

Sorry to hear you are not feeling so well, friend.

The CRABs will often take 6 - 12 months to have any positive effect on relapse rates, if they work for you as an idividual. Don't give up hope on B yet . . . it still might be your answer. :)

2 - 3 weeks of symptoms indicates a relapse, for sure. You are new at this though, so don't go thinking this one is going to necessarily be the same as the last one. You may recover much quicker . . . and I'm hoping that's the way it works out for you this time.

I don't take any symptom meds, so I can't even suggest anything. Maybe someone might have some ideas for you tomorrow . . .

I know the discomfort though. Try looking on-line for deep breathing exercises. They almost always put me to sleep.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Cherie,

Thank you. I will look up the deep breathing.... I needed to know (I probably should have already known) the 6-12 mths. I know this is all so unpredictable.

Is it too late to get in another line??? Guess we didn't pick this movie, did we?

I'm glad for the time difference. I'm in central. I'm trying so hard to be the "brave little soldier" I always told my children to be, but sometimes, still yet, this really catches me off guard.

Thanks for you kindness!

yes, I'm still awake. (240am here...I probably wont fall asleep before 3am)

Hoping to fall asleep in a little bit thanks to 1/4 of a Trazodone (Rx sleeping med my doctor gave me)

I'm tired.

I had really bad insomnia on thursday night/friday morning.

Didnt fall asleep until 630 or 7am friday morning. I'm still recovering from that.

Oh, and my feet feel like I'm wearing my mom's Ugg boots. (her feet are about a size and a half smaller than mine)

I think I have spasticity in my left big toe...hurts when I move it. I feel like I'm wearing sheepskin, but it's too tight on my feet.

Oh, and my head is killing me.

insomnia stinks!

Hey Friend,

I was awake till 4:30am. When I finally fell asleep, I woke an hour later, drenched in sweat. Seriously thought my friend's cat peed on me or someone threw a bucket of water on me - it was that bad :( A/C was even on - and ceiling fan on high. Sigh.

re: pins and needles - I have no idea what to take for that - but if you find out - LET ME KNOW! ;)

Get in line for another movie - LOL - that made me chuckle. My friend keeps asking me if I have tried to return it (the MS)...I said no one will take it back. She says to give it away. Mixed bag of thoughts on that one - I don't think I dislike anyone enough to do that to them....

Hang in there...

~Keri
