post surgery residual effects

Hello all. Obviously, I'm new here, but I am not new to spinal surgery. Having been under the knife before, I understand much of what others are enduring or have endured.

In fall of 2003, I had a fusion of C5-C6 from an injury I received in Iraq; back when the war first started. I won't bore you with the details of the surgery and recovery, but I want to know if anyone that has had a similar operation has the same post-operative effects as I have.

I am coming up on 5 years since and I continue to have problems standing up quickly, feeling fingers (pinky's and ring) as well as shaky legs under light loads. These are issues I have learned to live with, but never probed for answers. I am in perfect health, now married with children, and practice a strict diet.

Anyone?
