i've been to many seminars about ms and the one thing others talk about is the pain they endure from the disease. is it common to not experience any pain with the disease?:(

Hello, thru the fence and welcome to NeuroTalk.
Although pain can be common in MS not everyone has pain. |
Welcome to Neurotalk, THF.
The pain that people would most often speak about is related to lesions in the spine. A number of people don't ever have problems from their spinal lesions (no or little "activity"), and many don't even have spinal lesions (only brain ones). There are other aches and pains with this disease, but it is my experience that the spinal lesions cause the most difficult pain to contend with for PwMS. Cherie |

in my experience there are 2 main types of pain: 1. neuropathic 2. muscle i have very painful feet along with numbness and a painful left leg. my worst extremity. i also have a lot of muscle pain. tight muscles and spasticity can be common with MS. How are you doing? having pain? |
