insurance company turns down disabled

I thought I would share with you that I got turned down for medical insurance from Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I did not meet their “standards to be accepted.” They stated that due to my history of Rheumatoid and Peripheral Neuropathy they are not able to offer me coverage. They also added that “a person 5’6” is allowed a maximum weight of 216 pound”, I am over 40 pounds. It really gives me an ego boost to think I am so unwanted. I have no insurance and I don't qualify Madicaid or Medicare. I am waiting to hear from the SSA about my disability. Some have told me it may take up to 4 to 5 years before a judge will hear my case.
