Headaches

My worst pcs symptom and definetly the hardest to bear is headaches. I have a headache most days and the pain often gets severe.
Having trouble finding medication that will help make life a little easier.
Was wondering out of curiosity what others have tryed and found to help?

Hope all are doing well.

Hi Advice needed

It seems like most of us who have tbi/pcs suffer from headaches and they are no fun.

I use Imitex to manage mine it is a preventive medication and it seems to work for migraines.

I also try to prevent them from starting in the first place. I keep my stress levels low very low in regards to people, places and thing causing me stress.

2. When I find that I am becoming more sensitive to noise and light I go sit in a quite room and rest.

3. Drink plenty of water.

4. I also try to communicate with other people that suffer from the same dis order as I do in my opinion part of the dis order is having to pretend that we are functional when we are not.

5. Stay rested very important not to over do it.

I don't know if this helps but this is what I do to manage my migraine and when they get really really bad I just have to go back to bed until it passes.

Take Care Jeffn

I have found Propanolol taken twice daily to work the best in preventing headaches.

Imitrex worked well as far as stopping the progress of the headache from the time of injection but after about 5 years of use I started having bad side effects which is when the doctors got me started on propanolol and it has been working right well as a preventative and it is very inexpensive as well

Hope this helps
