MSacorn, your headache . . .

Some time ago we talked about the headache you were getting, and Frank's (weegot5kids) recent posts reminded me about your (and my) experience with that. Attached is the thread where we talked about it:

I'm just wondering if you followed the advice I gave (what worked for me), and whether things panned out the way I thought they might? If so, this might offer some ideas for Frank . . .

Hi Cherie
I remember the thread. I'll never forget that headache. After my post and your replies with good info, I did notice an improvement when lying down. After 2-1/2 weeks or so, it resolved itself. No amount of med was able to touch the pain. I did alot of ice on my neck and forehead to try and numb the pain as I recall.

I've yet to experience another headache as bad, but have been getting migraines more frequently the last 3-4 months.

When I last saw my neuro 11/30/07 her temp nurse dismissed my headache as having absolutely nothing to do with the MS. She said you can only get a spinal headache from a spinal tap.

We clashed when she was a temp for my other doc about 8 years ago. Well she has been replaced. Thankfully. I have an appointment on Monday 4/7 and will be talking to my new nurse practitioner and my doctor about the headache.

I figure if MS can cause my siezures why can't it be the root of my headache too.

I'm hoping Frank can get some relief. He must believe it's not just in his head. (no pun intended).

Thanks for the inquiry. I hope you are feeling as well as you can.

Thanks for the quick response. :) Hope it helps Frank some.

Yep, hanging out horizontal on the couch, and doin' absolutely NOTHING is the only thing that really helped me too. One time I got stubborn and didn't listen to my own advice . . . but it went on and on until I did. :p

I have no doubt in my mind that it is related to the spinal lesions. I think sometimes they are just wrong. :D

I'm glad you haven't had it again though. It's KILLER, eh?

Hi Cherie

Just had to say, the way you wrote that last statement, someone might think you were from Canada!

:ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO: :ROTFLMAO:

I'll let ya know how goes it at my appointment. If I don't please remind me.

Seriously, I wish nothing but the best for Frank. (Frank, can you hear us talking about you?)
