Hello there balmygirl3.

I've been on Oxycontin & Oxycodone for 2 years now, and I haven't had any problems with hair loss.

If it's severe you should mention it to your doctor as hair loss can sometimes be a symptom of something worse, but if it's only mild then you might be getting the "normal" hair loss that usually comes with summer, just that little bit earlier this year :-(

I did do a web search for you, but couldn't see any mention of it in any of the drug sites I looked at. Also, if you haven't had your thyroid checked recently, it might be worthwhile asking your doctor about that next time you visit.

Hope it gets better for you soon .

hormone issues...

long term use of opiates disturbs the hypothalamic/pituitary axis and
changes (lowers) hormone levels.

Some people then lose hair when hormone levels fall. You can be tested to
see if this is happening.

Also other drugs used in combination may do it. As well as low thyroid.
Certain nutritional deficiencies, low zinc, low protein, low biotin, can affect hair.
