Violin Virtuoso For Hope:

VIOLIN VIRTUOSO FOR HOPE: Anne Akiko Meyers, daughter of Webster U. prez Richard Meyers, will perform at the 4th Annual Evening of Hope gala on May 14 at the Sheldon Concert Hall. Proceeds from the dinner and concert will benefit the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders at Washington University. Anne is an international classical music star and one of the world's top chamber musicians. The evening will feature a Japanese-themed cocktail party beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner, the concert and a reception with the artist. It will honor the late Chris Hobler and Hans Vonk, former St. Louis Symphony music director, who were both victims of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Douglas and Vicki Hill are honorary chairs; Carol and Bert Walker, Susie Philpott and Jean Hobler are co-chairs; Kathleen Rogers and Carrie Martin are patron committee co-chairs.
