Article in the local paper about baby boomers and medical issues.

There is an article in todays paper that I thought was really interesting.

They are saying we have a crisis in this country because there are over 56,000,000 baby boomers going into their 50's and 60's. They say there are so many medical issues with a lot of them they the medical system can't handle it.

Isn't it funny that we know that modern medicine is not up to par but the Government is just figuring this out. LOL

Hi, I wanted to correct some of this.

78,000,000 baby boomers are about to turn 65 and the paper basically says that the growing number of older patients who are living longer with more complex health needs, increasingly outpaces the number of health care providers with the knowledge and skills to care for them capabily.

I know a lot of you on here has a ways to go, me I will be 57 in August but I still fit into this catagory as do you at this point.

This really ****** me off due to the fact that the country has figured this out a long time ago, at least the millions that are sick with diseases and illnesses that not enough research are being done on.

I guess I am getting more political in my older days but I'm wondering when the Government is going to catch up with the Country and their needs.
