Relay
 

I did my first relay for life last night stayed alllll night and it was the gosh darn best time I have had all year. I plan to work on this poem here and read it at next years relay. I HAD SUCH A AWESOME TIME!!! I carried my moms picture when I did my laps :)

Relay For Life,Race For A Cure-BMW-
Relay under the stars at night.
A cure for cancer the surviving fight.
Dancing singing laughing we celebrate.
Food games music playing till early moring late.
Taking turns walking laps round and round.
People cat napping in chairs and on the ground.
Trading smiles ,hellos and good cheer.
Seeing people youve not seen all year.
Gathered together with one cause in mind.
To find a cure and leave cancer far behind.
Volunteers donations sponsors and booths.
The old walking along side the youths.
All with the same goal to compleat.
A monster called cancer to defeat.
In memory of loved ones lost,
And all the survivors whove paid the cost.

Good for you, BMW!!! Your poem is a great tribute to those who did the walk and those who have passed on from CA. Glad you were able to participate. Hugs to you!!! :hug:

I am sure most of us have had our life touched by cancer in some form. so after i work on this and polish it up it will be great to read it next year when i do the relay again. i will probly write another one too. it took me less then 5 mins to write this soo i know it needs some work and polishing to shine.
