Very Odd
Ok, I don't know if this is an MS thing or not so bear with me.
I was spray painting some chairs this weekend. I went through 6 bottles of it. I got a blister on my finger, which is not the odd thing, but what happened is the tip of my finger went numb. It is still numb today! Did I trigger some MS reaction? Is it even related to the MS? I don't want to call the neuro if I just used the finger too much. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this on another body part? Just curious:rolleyes: |
wish i had an answer, wanted to say i hope it gets to feeling better soon, and that when i get numbness it is usually a larger part or my body not a small part like just a finger or end of a finger, so not sure if thats any help, but I do hope you get to feeling better real soon:hug:

Holy cow Girlie Girl! Six cans! (didn't know you was a huffer!!!) J/K
I'll bet your numb finger doesn't last long (just guessing). Didja know you can save yourself some time if you remove the paint spray can caps by whacking the can on the side of something hard, like a countertop? Well, now you do!!! Have fun painting! |

You're numbed finger may or maynot be MS related. I have such sensitivity in my hands that the lightest touch can leave parts of it numb and uncomfortable for hours into days, even longer.
I hope the painted project was worth the efforts. I can't imagine being able to breathe with the fumes. Feel better. |
Girlie - how are you doing tonight?
|
I hope the finger thing is from overuse and pressure from the spray cans!
Is it the only symptom you are experiencing? Did you do the spraypainting outside???:D Hope things are better today!! |

I am hoping that is all it is...overuse. But I am having other symptoms, drunk feeling, numb in my face, ear and leg. Maybe it is all linked??? I don't know. I did do the painting outside. No snuffing the fumes here Twink!!! Although maybe that is why I am dizzy...no that is just the blonde hair ;) MSacorn, the project was worth it. I had 6 wrought iron chairs that were green and I painted black. Now I just have to do the table. I have learned, after the fact, that there is a thing you can attach to the can so you don't have to use your finger. All you have to do is squeeze. Now why didn't they tell me that at the store! As for the numb finger...still there today. It is no better. |
 Sorry you'r feeling out of sorts.
Did you overdo it the other day? I'm a stubborn one, so I have a lot of experience with this, LOL. ;) If I push too hard, my symptoms will temporarily flare. Can take a couple of days to recover, but then I'm back to my "new" normal. I coin the phrase "pay to play" to remind myself that sometimes pushing is not a good idea. If it continues, then I'd call the neuro to make sure this is not a true flare up. Hope you feel better soon. |
