More questions
Does TOS ever go away for some, or will it always remain?
Also my health Insurance isn't the best. Is there any chance of finding better insurance that will take me or will I be denied or be put on 18 months for a pre-existing condition? |

After two year and three surgeries, i have come to the conclusion that chiropractic, PT, massage, and pain management are simply going to be part of my life forever. I was also recently dx'ed with Fibro on top of the TOS, and I have thyroid issues, so there is a bit of a cumulatiove effect there. I don't know about the health insurance. good luck to you |
you might be able to add a second plan or choose a higher coverage package??
you'd have to see if cost effective for you or not. can anyone add you onto their plan for secondary coverage? If Ins won't cover certain tx request why and ask if cash discounts are available at providers my DC & a PT gave me nice discounts for cash payments. |
These are all good questions for a free consultation that I hope you will seek in your town for social security (if UK has such a thing), work comp, disability rights and responsibilities, and ins. co. issues.
I don't think anyone here, includine myself, has the credentials and current experience and knowledge of UK circumstances to answer these. But I bumped up some general posts that may help you in your path. And it is a path - take it one day at a time, maybe make a plan, be open to changing it, and come back here any time... |
I also think that I may have some thyroid problems aswell. My doctor did some simple blood tests and they came back normal. What other tests are there and how do I get the doctor to listen to me?

Do you have your thyroid test numbers handy?
You can post them if you want to and we can "compare #'s -LOL" I think 1 1/2 years ago or so they changed the normal range - so hopefully your dr or test results are using the newest guidelines. but sometimes they need to go by your symptoms also not only the test #'s. We had one member that had severe thyroid problems -could not get it stabilized at all - so much so that she choose to have hers removed. She's on vacation in Hawaii:D at the moment - a computer vacation too LOL She did tons of research on thyroid problems. oh silly me :o you can do a search on the forums for her posts about thyroid - member name is - shelley search all forums -from the main page - because she posted on vitamins, thyroid, medications and here |
I do not have my numbers handy, I never saw them. All my doctor said was that my numbers were in normal levels, I also had to keep calling and bugging them to even get them. The reason I thought I might have thyroid problem is because I am dead tired all the time. There has even been times where I couldn't wake myself up, and when I did wake up I was still tired. I also gained a large amount of weight in 3 months during my busiest time of year, I didn't change anything about my diet. No matter what I did I just kept gaining the weight. I have never been this big before. Every doctor I've seen so far even thinks my thyroid feels larger than it should be but nothing is ever done about it. I think I might make another doc appointment and have it checked again. There is something wrong, even if it's not my thyroid there is something going on that shouldn't be.
