Hello all. I'm a newbee, please read about me.

I'm a "young" and active "older" female with three spine surgeries behind me. First two were cervical laminectomies (bone spurs for all 7). The third was to repair damage from a twenty foot fall from top of ladder onto my fanny which caused severe damage in 2001. After looking for medical help in the state I was living at the time for four years and not finding any (...was repeatedly told to expect disk problems at "my age"), I returned to my home state and was referred to a "top spine" doc. Surgery performed very successfully and recovery went far better than expected. I did have muscle spasms and endurable pain for the first year on my right side of back below the scapula. After joining a gym and working with the curcuit (weight training) and with all the additional walking and stretching and a few pilate movements and more stretching. the pain went away.

Would like very much to share and support.

Welcome to NeuroTalk rrtracks from another young'un in their later years. :)

I'm so very sorry to hear about the pain that you've been having, and although I can't advise you in that direction I wanted you to know that you've come to the right place for support. I assure you that it's one of the things we all do well here.

You'll meet some lovely people along the way, and although I rarely visit the Spinal Forum, and I see Av8rgirl has given you directions to it, I hope to get to know you some-where on your travels around the site.

Welcome again. I'm so pleased to meet you.
