Hi,
This is my first post on here so hope I'v done this right. I was diagnosed with PD in 2001 nearly eight years ago, still find it hard to believe, I do get really frightend about how i will be in the future, but try not to dwell on it too much. I live in Yorkshire, England married to Graham for 29 years and we have four sons. I am on medication, which seems to be controlling my symptoms at the moment (tremor in left hand and stiffness in left leg). Don't sleep for long at night but get loads done when awake. Still working full time for the great british N.H.S. try to remain positive and hope that a cure is not too far away?. |
Hi Picksey! Welcome to NeuroTalk! :welcome_sign:
I've posted the link to the PD Forum for you. Please feel free to join in anywhere you'd like to, though. There are lots of fantastic people here! :) http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum34.html |
Hello Picksey, and welcome to NeuroTalk from an Australian.
As you can tell, we have members from all over, and if it's support you're after, you've definitely come to the right place. It's good to hear that you're still able to work, and I wish you well with that. I too have a condition without a cure as yet, and like you, I hope one will be found in the not too distant future. Welcome again Picksy. It's lovely to meet you. |
Hi Picksey! :Wave-Hello: Welcome to NeuroTalk!
I see that Kelly has offered you a link to the PD forum, so I'll add that you are welcome to join in anywhere and that I also hope for a cure! :) |
