Need a laugh? Brains on Xanex!
 

I had a brain MRI this past Friday. I am highly claustrophobic, so I took two Xanex (not at the same time) before I went. Well, apparently, the second one tipped me over the edge. While in the waiting room, I was evidentially heard babbling some total nonsense about bunny rabbits smoking cigarettes and chewing tobacco. Where the heck I dredged that up into my drug-addled brain is anyone's guess!!

I then went on to expound about how if you want your cat to grow, you have to put it into a bigger skin. I vaguely remember thinking that when cats get to a certain size, they have to change skins or they don't grow any larger (kind of the "gold-fish-in-a-bowl" syndrome.) But their old skin isn't wasted because you just use it for a smaller cat. http://www.centralperkies.com/mwf/emoticons/crazy.gif

On a much much smaller scale of horror, as I removed the tiny memory card from the camera today to give it to the cute guy behind the counter at Inkley's, it flipped onto my, uh, shirt. Okay, it was my breast. :eek:

He stood there waiting while I tried in vain to find it (I wuz looking on the floor!) Finally, he pointed it out; but in the process of grabbing myself to retrieve it, it skiied down the slope and jumped onto the floor. By then it was waaaay too late to retrieve my dignity, so I told him I'd take care of it later and left.

In other words, I'm not laughing at you, Shashi. Things happen. Yep, I'd be finding another hospital too. One with a smaller skin. :cool:

Too funny. When I went in for an upper GI, and was coming off of conscious sedation, I remember asking the nurse if she was going to help me and her uncle (my husband) lay the floor that night...

Ok, not nearly as funny as your story.... but.... ah, well... I need to try some xanax now. Ativan didn't have that kind of effect on me :rolleyes:

I don't know if this happens to everyone who gets a colonoscopy, but for me, what goes in, must come out. They (at least used to) pump a person full of air as they were inserting the camera, and they had to go a long way up to find what they were looking for.

I was on valium or something, and only vaguely remember all the air escaping while laying in the recovery area with lots of other people. My ex left. :D

I did something similar. As I lay in the machine I looked out on the mirror thing and although I knew that it was a screen with an MRI image, it looked like a ghost dog sitting next to my Mom. I kept telling them about the ghost dog and how it was moving and was right next to my Mom. The tech got a kick out of that. Then, according to my Mom, on the way home I kept telling her to look out for the cars (that weren't there) and was rambling a bunch of nonsense about cars and drivers, lights, and people (which apparently I named them all on the way home). LOL. That was the last time I took 3 lorazepam's before going for an MRI.
